For ours Customers, one leading Car manufacturer, provided the existing On-premiseInfrastructure a real Obstacle for Agility and innovation represent. The complex ITSystems in the Microsoft Azure cloud to migrate and at the same time the CI/CD pipelines from Jenkins to Azure DevOps convert, resulted in itself as one double The challenge . Compliance, code and cloud: the balancing act of migration 

The migration of the existing on-premise infrastructure posed a major challenge, as the car manufacturer's IT landscape was highly individualized and included numerous legacy-based applications. These systems had to be migrated under the highest security standards and without interrupting operations. The migration involved monolithic and inflexible applications that could not easily be transferred to the cloud in their existing form. Another critical point was the conversion of the Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines to a flexible, scalable system that could meet the company's growing requirements. The existing Jenkins pipelines could no longer meet the requirements for speed and flexibility, which severely limited the efficiency of the development and deployment process. In addition, the strict compliance and data protection requirements of the automotive industry had to be observed during the migration. It was essential to ensure that all cloud-based systems complied with industry-specific security and data protection standards. 

 

Jenkins was yesterday - Azure DevOps is today 

We migrated the car manufacturer's IT infrastructure securely and scalably to Microsoft Azure to improve flexibility and agility. Using Azure Site Recovery and virtual machines, we ensured a fast migration with minimal downtime. This transition enabled the client to efficiently adapt its IT systems to changing market conditions. 

The existing Jenkins pipelines were converted to Azure DevOps, which led to a significant increase in the speed and reliability of software deployment. This enabled the car manufacturer to optimize its development processes and react more quickly to changes. 

To ensure compliance and security, we used Azure Security Center and Azure Policy. These solutions ensured compliance with industry-specific regulations and enabled continuous security monitoring.
